Laura Hook
Laura joined Isadore Goldman in October 2015 following a relocation from East Yorkshire and is a senior associate within the firm.
Laura is a very experienced insolvency lawyer after completing her training contract with a Hull based niche Insolvency firm and later worked in the Insolvency department of a regional firm following a merger.
Since qualifying in September 2011, Laura has gained a wealth of experience in a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters in respect of both personal and corporate insolvencies, advising office holders, debtors, creditors, directors, shareholders and private individuals nationwide.
Laura routinely acts for both officeholders in relation to asset and business sales, the realisation of assets and challenging antecedent transactions, as well as for private clients defending claims brought by officeholders.
Laura also advises directors faced with disqualification investigations and/or proceedings against them, and for shareholders in relation to shareholder disputes.
Laura is known for her conscientious and thorough approach to her work and clients appreciate her attention to detail on complex matters and excellent service levels.
Laura is a member of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and also a member of the R3 National Personal Insolvency Committee, assisting R3 with all aspects of policy development and progress relating to the Personal Insolvency framework. Laura is ranked as a key lawyer in the Legal 500.
Outside of the office, Laura is a keen sportsperson, playing hockey, netball and tennis in her spare time. Laura is also an avid theatregoer, having made the most of the West End’s productions since moving to London in 2015. Laura also enjoys indulging in a spot of retail therapy and socialising with friends and family.
