Isadore Goldman recognised in The Times Best Law Firms 2026

  • Posted on

Isadore Goldman has been named in The Times Best Law Firms 2026 for our work in insolvency and restructuring, reflecting our position as one of the UK’s leading specialist practices in this field. This recognition is particularly meaningful because the list is compiled entirely from recommendations made by fellow solicitors and barristers across the UK.

A specialist insolvency and restructuring practice

Operating from offices in London, Portsmouth and Norwich, Isadore Goldman is known for its deep expertise in corporate and personal insolvency, bankruptcy, restructuring and contentious director advisory work. Our lawyers frequently act in complex, high-value and high-stakes matters, often involving significant regulatory, investigatory or cross-border elements.

Our recent mandates include advising the administrators of Sentinel Broadcast, a major alleged equipment finance fraud currently under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office. Losses are estimated to exceed £1 billion. As part of the administration, a claim has been launched against Lloyds Bank relating to alleged failures to identify red flags in payment processes, making it one of the largest actions of its kind brought against a UK lender. The case is linked to the collapse of Arena Television, which exposed widespread fraudulent equipment financing arrangements across the broadcast sector.

Work of this complexity and scale is typical of the issues our team handles, and reinforces our reputation for combining technical excellence with strategic, pragmatic advice.

How the Times list is compiled

The Times Best Law Firms 2026 is based solely on peer feedback. To compile the rankings, The Times appointed Statista, an international market research firm, to conduct an independent survey of solicitors and barristers across England, Wales and Scotland. Participants were asked to recommend the firms they considered leaders in 28 specialist categories spanning business, public and private client work.

To ensure fairness and accuracy, respondents could not vote for their own firm, and technology safeguards were used to prevent duplicate submissions. Around 3,900 legal professionals took part, and only those firms receiving the highest number of peer endorsements were included.

Recognition from within the profession

Being included in the 2026 list is therefore a direct endorsement from fellow lawyers who see first-hand the quality of work being delivered across the market. For Isadore Goldman, this recognition reflects the consistent strength of our specialist insolvency and restructuring practice, the calibre of our team and the trust placed in us to act on cases of national significance.

We are proud to be recognised by our peers and remain committed to delivering clear, robust and commercial advice to clients navigating the most challenging insolvency and restructuring landscapes.
