Alex Bilionis
Alex joined Isadore Goldman as an Associate Director in June 2025
Alex advises clients across the UK, Europe, and the US on a broad range of corporate transactions, cross-border investments, and non-contentious restructuring matters. His work frequently involves supporting companies, shareholders, and other stakeholders through complex situations, particularly where financial distress or restructuring considerations require a strategic and commercially grounded approach.
Alex’s recent work includes:
Advised a UK-based family office on the distressed acquisition and turnaround of a Swedish light-industrial property company. Alex’s work involved renegotiating legacy tenant arrangements to consolidate income, engaging with local authorities on change-of-use applications to uplift capital value, and liaising with lenders to restructure finance terms - including a successful reduction in amortisation obligations - to improve cashflow resilience and protect the investment.
Acted on the successful £70m share sale exit of a cross-border investment following a multi-year restructuring strategy. The transaction delivered a 102% return on equity to shareholders and involved careful planning to manage operational risks, preserve asset value, and navigate legacy liabilities in order to maximise realisable value at exit.
Advised a US-headquartered pharmaceutical client on real estate restructuring options across Sweden and Belgium. This included analysing lease liabilities and legacy property commitments in financially constrained circumstances, to assess sustainable operational models and reduce exposure from historically unfavourable lease terms.
