Andy Taylor

Andy Taylor joined Isadore Goldman in London 2014 following a 25-year career at south east firm A S B Law where he created and led the insolvency team. Both Andy and the team were recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers as leaders in the field of insolvency law. Andy was also recognised by The Lawyer as one of the Hot 100 lawyers in the UK. He is also a Fellow of R3.

There is very little in the world of insolvency law that Andy has not had experience of. In addition to his experience as an insolvency lawyer, Andy has acquired knowledge of business management through helping to build A S B Law to a UK top 100 firm, managing a catastrophic injury law firm, and carrying out investigations on behalf of the Insolvency Service. His notable achievements include conducting the investigation into failed FTSE 100 company Finelist Plc which resulted in the disqualification of four of its main board directors.

For many years, Andy’s main area of practice has focussed on advising directors of companies experiencing financial problems or which have gone into administration or liquidation. His clients are typically under great stress and require pragmatic advice to get them through a very difficult period in their lives. This is where Andy excels. He is renowned for his skills in analysing a situation, identifying the problems and priorities, and helping clients to create and implement an action plan. He will help directors deal with demands for information from office holders and the Insolvency Service, assist them in any interviews and investigations and deal with any civil recovery claims or disqualification proceedings.

Andy is our COLP (Compliance Office for Legal Practice) and also head of our CFA Committee which decides which cases we are prepared to take on under conditional fee terms.
